Action in Mission (AIM) leads the Lakeview congregation in caring for the needs of the
members and local residents, local "hands-on" mission opportunities as well national and
international mission programs through the United Church of Christ and other programs
that support those in need. We focus on families in need, disaster aid, and
world poverty relief.
Caring for members and local residents includes:
|
|
|
- Shepherding: meals for shut-ins, families with new babies, ill and
recently-hospitalized patients, families mourning the death of a loved one.
- Transportation Pool: transportation to/from Lakeview worship and other activities.
- Remembrances: cards, gifts and treats for shut-ins
|
|
Members and friends of the church are welcome to join the AIM leadership team. The team meets
monthly to assess shepherding needs within the congregation, prepare for upcoming projects, and
seek new mission opportunities. See the Event page for date and time.
