A Message From Lakeview:
"I am the vine, you are the branches…" These words of Jesus are vital to Lakeview
Church. Read them on the dedication plaque of our 1989 time capsule. Upon entering
the sanctuary, wonder at the beautiful artwork on the frosted glass panels depicting
the vine and branches motif. See them emblazoned on the alter cloth yet again. We
hope and pray these words are most prominently witnessed by visitors, seekers, and
members alike in our words, actions, ministries - in our very lives.

Why is this our hope and prayer? We believe the promise revealed in the rest of
the verse: "Those who abide in me, and I in them, bear much fruit." What we accomplish
at Lakeview United Church of Christ - the fruit we grow through faith, fellowship,
mission and outreach - bears living witness of our connectedness to Jesus Christ.
From Him, our family of God receives spiritual nourishments. To His glory and love,
we dedicate the fruits of our lives.
